Golden Gate Opera typically holds an open casting call for its upcoming season in March or April. Singers are advised to prepare at least three arias: one in English, one by Mozart and one or more of any other type. Preparing what you sing best from a standard repertoire is recommended.
Parts for the 2004/2005 season have already been filled, though GGO is always interested in developing talent for the chorus. If you would like more information about auditioning for GGO, please email us at .
While the 2005/2006 season has not yet been finalized, operas being discussed are:
Bizet's Carmen, Hansel and Gretel and Albert Herring by Benjamin Britten and Il Trovatore by Giuseppe Verdi. Stay tuned!
In addition to performing roles, GGO offers internship positions in both production and administrative roles. Applicants should submit a cover letter and resume via email to the address above. Internships are available for the 2004/2005 season now and will be open until filled.
