Golden Gate Opera - Marin County Opera

Technical Director is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Music where he studied voice, opera stage direction, and opera technical production. Mr. Mortensen taught at Modesto Junior College where he served as musical director and conductor for the Theater Department, as well as serving as technical director for productions that he was not involved with musically. As a second career, he opened a business that built stage scenery and trade show displays and rented stagelighting equipment. He sold that business several years ago and now is a technical consultant in addition to his duties with Golden Gate Opera.
