Roberta Wain-Becker, founder and now Executive Director of Golden Gate Opera is a professional opera singer who has performed with San Francisco Opera, Mississippi Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Arizona Opera, Whitewater Opera, Sacramento Opera, Berkeley Opera, Cinnabar Opera, Oakland Opera, Portland Opera, California Opera Association in Fresno, the Israel National Opera, New Opera Festival di Roma, and has soloed with many symphonies in the West. She is winner of the Wagner Society of Northern California Award, Astral Foundation of Philadelphia Award, William Matheus Sullivan Musical Foundation of New York Award, and National Institute for Music Theatre Awards (Washington D.C.). She has served as Executive Director, Development Director, Marketing Director and is Founder and Director of GGO's Outreach Opera-tunities program. Ms. Wain-Becker models her administration of Golden Gate Opera after systems of the professional companies with which she has performed. In 1996 and 1997 she worked alongside the company's first General Director, William Roberts and has continued systems he put in place. She is on the voice faculty of the Community Music Center of San Francisco.

Ms. Rost has worked with GGO since 2003 as the company's event planner. Her experience includes working as an Independent Event Producer, Assistant Producer, and Sales and Marketing Coordinator for Bill Graham Special Events from August 2002-October 2003. Prior to that she worked for McDougall Creative in San Francisco, CA where she was office coordinator and co-producer of the company holiday party and was in charge of corporate holiday gifts and holiday cards. In 2004, Ms. Rost is coordinating two large fundraising events for GGO and several small fundraising concerts.

Ms. Stephan serves as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director and assists with grant writing, data management, and general company organizing. As an office administrator, she has more than 20 years in the administrative/office operations field. Ms. Stephan currently works as an independent contractor assisting her clients in operating with optimum efficiency. Services provided range from a variety of computer application skills to managing day-to-day activities. She has worked in the public school system and for various CEO’s. Ms. Stephan has worked with GGO since 2003.
